Removing Bad Bacteria From Your Tongue

Every morning when you wake up there is a film or layer of bacteria built up on the surface of the tongue which often causes bad breath. Whilst brushing your teeth cleans your gums and removes bacteria there can still be harmful bacteria remaining on your tongue. Using a tongue scraper can help remove this layer of bacteria. There are also tongue brushes that can be used for the purpose, however a tongue scraper is more effective. A tongue scraper is a simple to use oral hygiene device, which is available in stainless steel or plastic. It is preferable to use stainless steel rather than plastic as plastic should be avoided to improve health.

It is easy to use. You simply stick out the tongue and place tongue scraper from the back of tongue scraping down gently towards the tip of the tongue. You should be able to see the film of bacteria once scraped, clean and rinse mouth thoroughly.
